MIEZE
a neutron spin echo technique that allows magnetic samples
Modulated Intensity with Zero Effort (MIEZE) is a spin echo technique with the neutron beam modulated in the time domain by the radio-frequency (RF) resonant spin flippers. Similar to SEMSANS, all the spin manipulation is analyzed before the sample such that depolarizing sample or sample with strong incoherent scattering can be allowed, which is challenging for conventional NSE.
MIEZE in also a time interferometer, where the two spin states interfere at the detector position.
By involving RF spin flippers, the neutron can be manipulated and analyzed before the sample, such that magnetic sample is allowed.
This is still in development mode.
